- About UsOur PartnersOur Team
The Aligned Person is our way to describe what it means to be an Aligned Leisure employee. It is what differentiates us from others and drives everything that we do.
We can demonstrate that by setting a clear vision linked to a compelling organisational purpose, underpinned by an aligned set of values, behaviours and service standards, we can create a high-performance environment.
Our Purpose | Connecting to Thrive & Win
Our Values | Aware, Disciplined, Relentless & United
Aligned Leisure has developed a service standards framework to deliver consistent customer experiences across our operations. It is the same model Disney use for its worldwide workforce to provide exceptional customer service and has been tailored to our operations through a consultative process involving staff across our entire network.
Each service delivery role within Aligned Leisure has specific service standard expectations. These service standards, set for each position, can easily be monitored and assessed by the employee’s supervisor and peers.
Having a workforce that is reflective of the communities we serve is a vital aspect of the Aligned Leisure model.
We successfully recruit local residents in all of our operations, providing valuable community connections and understanding.
Aligned Leisure is proud to have achieved pay parity across its workforce. The most recent gender pay gap employer statement shows that current and prospective staff should have confidence that remuneration is free of gender bias.
The Club’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan also drive our people model and ensure we are inclusive and welcoming of all people.
The Richmond Institute provides Aligned Leisure and our partners the invaluable ability to educate and train communities, developing a strong workforce.
Richmond Institute is the education arm of the Richmond Football Club and a leader in sports industry education.
Through partnerships with the Swinburne University of Technology and other training institutions, the Richmond Institute provides outstanding experiences, outcomes and pathways for students. These pathways include providing a workforce to operate Aligned Leisure managed facilities.
Celebrating the success of our people is an important part of our story.
The Bunjil Awards are peer-voted awards to recognise those who role model Richmond values and behaviours and embody what it is to be a Richmond person.
The awards are named after Bunjil, the “creator”. Our first nation’s people share stories of Bunjil, a wedge-tailed eagle, who floated above the earth and brought the world and life into existence.
Announced in Dreamtime week each year, the Club recognises an AFL player, an AFLW player, a Richmond staff person and an Aligned Leisure staff person.
2022 – Simon Bryson, Aligned Leisure
2021 – Billy Sunjo, Nillumbik
2019 – Paige Kristalyn, Cardinia
2018 – Miles Quintarelli, Nillumbik
2017 – Jake Ward, Cardinia
The Club has also been recognised for other successes in our people model including being selected as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards 2019, recognised as a finalist in the 2022 Pride In Sport Awards and Group Operations Manager Simon Bryson was a finalist in the Victorian CovidSafe Business Awards.
