Driving Community Connection

Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard and valued. Our role is to ensure all people derive sustenance and strength from relationships in and around our services.

Community

Connections exist throughout communities. The facilities we manage bring people from disparate backgrounds together through the lens of fitness, participation and social interaction.

We know that community connections outside of the home and workplace are vital to strong and healthy communities, and the facilities we are privileged to manage are important drivers of this connection.

Aligned Leisure works with our community partners to also focus on connecting several target groups, often marginalised, to our services; including multicultural, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, older adults and people with a disability.

Diversity & Inclusion

People of all abilities, backgrounds and cultures are welcome at Aligned Leisure managed facilities.

Through the Club’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, Aligned Leisure aims to foster a culture of inclusion by celebrating and connecting with diverse and marginalised communities.

The Club understands the unique and privileged position it holds as Australia’s biggest sports Club and aims to embrace and empower people regardless of their culture, beliefs, sexuality, gender or abilities.

Connect with us to see how we can help connect all sections of your community to leisure.

Indigenous

Our vision for reconciliation is to connect our nation, uniting first and new peoples who thrive together.

The Club’s Reconciliation Action Plan is one of only 17 in the country that is at Elevate status. Through this action plan, Aligned Leisure aims to educate our communities and create safe spaces for indigenous communities to connect.

We also engage the Korin Gamji Institute to deliver programs and provide expertise in connecting young indigenous people.

Older Adults

Older adults are a significant customer group of Aligned Leisure managed facilities.

Cardiovascular and strength exercise coupled with social connection are vital aspects of the wellbeing of an ageing population.

Our people recognise the value our services play to this group of people and prioritise fitness, social and wellbeing activities to allow individuals to thrive.
