Aligned Leisure’s Eurobodalla Aquatic Centres receive five-star safety status

Aligned Leisure is delighted to have received five-star aquatic safety status at the Eurobodalla Shire Council’s three Aquatic Centres Bay Pavilions, Narooma Swimming Centre, and Moruya War Memorial Swimming Pool.

As part of the process, the pools each passed a rigorous 40-point aquatic safety check and committed to an annual Aquatic Safety Assessment undertaken by Royal Life Saving.

The checklist has been sourced from the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation (GSPO), which is an established industry safety standard designed to maximise the safety of all aquatic facilities.

The GSPO represents the collective opinion of the aquatic industry across Australia, outlining a framework for best practice standards and legislative requirements.

Eurobodalla Arts and Leisure Manager, Chris Tague welcomed the five-star aquatic safety status.

It is important to us that we are operating our pools and facilities to the highest standards to keep our customers, community members, and employees safe.

“These guidelines have been written and authorised following industry collaboration both nationally and internationally, which helps us to know we are operating to world-class safety levels.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Royal Life Saving and improving the overall experience at these fantastic community assets.”

The $69 million Bay Pavilions is one of the largest and certainly most unique facilities in Australia.

Aligned Leisure manages all facets of its operation, from live performances for the 350-seat theatre to learn to swim programs and the entire fitness and wellness products.

Narooma Swimming Centre and the Moruya War Memorial Pool also forms part of Aligned Leisure’s engagement in the Eurobodalla Shire.
