Aligned Leisure wishes to acknowledge and celebrate the achievement of staff member, Mimi Stoupas who is set to embark on an exciting new chapter, joining the San Diego State University water polo team.
Mimi has always been a force to be reckoned with in the world of water polo.
Hailing from Caulfield Grammar School in Melbourne, Mimi has made a name for herself not only as a dedicated student but also as a formidable athlete.
With a passion for both swimming and teaching, she has been a perfect a swim instructor at Caulfield aquatics, where her skills and expertise are highly sought after.
Mimi’s dedication has not stopped there; she was also an integral part of the Caulfield aquatic squad, managed by Aligned Leisure, showcasing her prowess in the pool.
Mimi’s journey to success reached new heights when she embarked on a journey to the United States with the Australian Junior Development Team. It was a dream come true for her, as she stepped onto American soil, ready to take on some of the best water polo clubs in California.
As the tour unfolded, Mimi’s skill and determination shone through in every match. Her teams hard work paid off as they competed in the USA Open Senior Nationals, an incredible accomplishment for any junior team.
Amidst all the challenges and exhilarating moments, Mimi’s journey was far from over. She had a new chapter waiting for her, one that would take her athletic and academic pursuits to a whole new level. With the support of her family, coaches, and mentors, Mimi ultimately secured a spot in the Division One water polo team at San Diego State University. The opportunity to become an Aztec and represent her university was an honor she embraced with enthusiasm.
Mimi stated ‘she is excited to join the San Diego State University water polo team, eager to contribute her skills and passion to the sport she loves.’
The talented youngster is excited for a continuation of her remarkable journey that had started back at Caulfield Grammar School and had now brought her to the sunny shores of San Diego.
Dean Jamieson, Caulfield Leisure Manager along with the whole Caulfield team extended their heartfelt congratulations on Mimi’s recent success and wished her the best of luck for her upcoming journey to San Diego.

As Mimi looks ahead to her time as an Aztec, she carries with her the memories of her water polo triumphs, the friendships forged on the pool deck, and the lessons learned through every victory and defeat.
